"   Gilli Danda " (one of the oldest games of all times)  ( also known as " Viti Dandu, Kitti-Pul"  ) Gilli Danda ( also spelled  Gulli-Danda )  also known as  Viti Dandu, Kitti-Pul  and by other variations, is a sport originating from the  Indian subcontinent , played in the rural areas and small towns all over  South Asia  as well as  Cambodia ,  Turkey ,  South Africa ,  Italy ,  Poland , and in some Caribbean islands like  Cuba.  The game is played with two sticks, a large one called a  danda , which is used to hit a smaller one, the  gilli .  Other than using a smaller target stick, rather than a ball, it bears many similarities to  bat and ball games  such as  cricket  and  baseball . Kho - Kho

   KHO - KHO ( also known as "GAME OF HUNTING"  ) Kho Kho  is a popular tag game invented in Maharashtra, India. It is played by teams of 12 nominated players out of fifteen, of which nine enter the field who sit on their knees (Chasing Team), and 3 extra (Defending Team) who try to avoid being touched by members of the opposing team. It is one of the two most popular traditional tag games in the Indian subcontinent the other being Kabaddi. The sport is widely played across South Asia and has a strong presence in South Africa and England. Kho-kho is a traditional Indian sport, that is one of the oldest outdoor sports, dating back to ancient India. KABADDI (a game of strength and trick) Kabaddi is a team sport which is being played between two teams of seven players in each team. The modern version of the kabaddi was founded in Maharashtra. Kabaddi has received International exposure in 1936 Olympics, demonstrated by India. The game Kabaddi was introduced in Indian Games in Calcutta 1938. Kabaddi is popularized by Sundar Ram of India in Japan, when he toured on behalf of Asian Amatruer Kabaddi Federation.  As we all know that Kabaddi is a team sport. Two teams are on opposite side of the same field. They used to send one raider into the opponents half. This is basically done to gain a point, if the raider touches the opponent teams any player and come to his court safely then the person raider has touched will be out. Volleyball Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams are required with six member in each team is required and both the teams are separated by a net in between. Each team tries to score points by grounding the ball on the other team's court under the rules of the game. It has been a part of the official game of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964.  The volleyball is originally called "Mintonette", the game of volleyball was invented in 1895 by William G Morgan. However, later Alfred Halstead  renamed it to volleyball as because the game was to volley the ball back and forth over the net. HOCKEY- National Game of India Hockey is the national game of India. India has won lots of gold medals in Hockey. Till now India has won Gold Medals in hockey which is 1928, 1932, 1936, 1948, 1952, 1956, 1964 and 1980 Olympics.  Hockey is normally played on grass field or an indoor stadium. Hockey is basically a ball and a stick game (stick is made up of wood). Hockey is often played at schools in UK but its origins are unclear. Later we have seen that another hockey category came which is ice hockey which was developed in Canada. It was found that its origin is in Indian Punjabi's game "Khido Khundi". The Sports Ministry confirmed that it had not declared any sports or game as the national game. This is why hockey has so long been known as national game of India.. You have to play the game by using any part of your body but except the hands and arms and while playing the game the main aim is to kick the ball in oppositions goal. The famous game right after cricket is football and also loved by most of the youngsters. Actually it has been seen that some of the youngsters don't like cricket and they are die heart fan of football. So basically in this game of football no one is allowed to hold the ball with their hand.
