Football: Football is a team Sport which is basically kicking a ball to score a goal. Football is also known as association football or soccer, game in which there are two teams, each team is carrying 11 players. You have to play the game by using any part of your body but except the hands and arms and while playing the game the main aim is to kick the ball in oppositions goal. The famous game right after cricket is football and also loved by most of the youngsters. Actually it has been seen that some of the youngsters don't like cricket and they are die heart fan of football.

So basically in this game of football no one is allowed to hold the ball with their hand. Only the goalkeeper is allowed to handle the ball with his hand to stop the ball from opposition but he has to be inside the penalty area, if he comes outside the penalty area and holds the ball then there is a foul. The simple rule of the game is the team who scores more goals, wins the game. You will surprised to know that Football is the world's most popular game of ball in numbers of participants as well as spectators. Football is such a simple game that it can be played anywhere. One can play football in official football playground to streets, school playgrounds and also in beaches. So, football is a game loved by children, kids as well as adults.

The football governing body, the Federation International de Football Association (FIFA) estimated that at this time of 21st Century there are approximately 250 million football players and over 1.3 billion people interested in football. It has been seen that in the year 2010 a combined television audience of more than 26 billion watched football's premier tournament which is the quadrennial month-long World Cup finals.

• In a football match a match consists of two 45 minutes halves with a 15 minute rest period in between. So, basically a football match is of 90 minutes in total plus some extra more minutes.

• In a football match there are a minimum of 11 players in each team including 1 goalkeeper who is only allowed to hold the ball by his hand and also he can hold the ball in his respective area which is 18 yard box and a minimum of 7 players are needed to constitute a match.

• The field in which the players used to play is made up of either  artificial or natural grass. The size of the ground is vary but it must be within 100-130 yards long and 50-100 yards wide. The pitch should also be marked accurately the rectangular shape around the outside showing out of bound and two six yard boxes, two 18 yard boxes and a circle in the centre.

• The ball with which the match is being played, it has a circumference of 58-61 cm and the ball should be in a circular shape. 

• In one match of football each team can name upto 7 substitute players. And substitution can be made at any time of the match with each team being able to make maximum of 3 substitution per side. If the all three substitution is being made and a player have to leave the field for his injury then the team have to play without a replacement for that player.

• In each game there is one referee and also two assistant referee's which we call as linemen. The main job of the referee is to act like a time keeper and can make any decisions which may need to be made such as foul, free kicks, penalties and the extra time at the end of each half. The match referee can consult with the assistant referee's at anytime in match regarding a decision.

• In a match if the team is equal after the time then they were given extra time. And if after that extra time also both teams scores are equal then there will be penalty shots for each teams. 

• The whole ball has to cross the goal line then only it is considered as goal.

• If a player commits a foul then the player will could get either a yellow or a red card depending on the severity of the foul. The yellow card is a warning and the red card is the dismissal of the player. And two yellow card is equal to one red card. Once a player is sent off then they cannot be returned.

1. Futsal: Futsal is a shorter version of soccer with slightly modified rules and approved by FIFA. This 5 a-side football is played indoor on hard courts with a relatively small football known as the Futsal Ball. The best thing in the futsal is a player can be substituted any time and any number of times. The glory featuring Ronaldinho, Ryan Giggs, Falcao and Scholes the stadium up for 9 days.

2. 5 a-side Football: A 5 a-side Football game as the name says is played with 5 players per team including one goalkeeper on Astro-turfs. It could be played either outdoors or indoors. Most of the turfs are seen to be enclosed inside a cage like structure so you don't  kick the ball out and lose it. 5 a-side Football is more quicker, fun and is part of many team outing.

3. Street Football: Everyone must have played football in streets. Every big players have played in streets in their childhood. There is no rules in street football its all about passion. As we know that Brazil is the most famous for this variant of football, it is played by every kid who grew up and became a good football player. That time there were no goal posts, just sticks or bags or men. No desired football grass, just a mark like the ground. But the true spirit of kids have been seen about the game.

4. Bubble football: You will be surprised to know about the bubble football as it is similar to 5 a-side game. To add some spice and fun to the game of 5 a-side game played, the players are dressed up inside a bubble with their lower body free from the bubble to kick the ball. One don't do the "Zidane Head - Butts" instead the "Bubble - Butts" and bong you are on the Floor. Scoring a goal this way is real hard and its a very funny game. Every player used to have lots of fun while playing.
